When I was asked to photograph this proposal I couldn’t say no! Michael wanted to make the moment just perfect for Jordan. He had picked out the perfect opal ring and picked a beautiful spot. Jordan’s friends helped him set it all up too. When Jordan arrived she had no idea that he was even going to be there! She was so surprised. Michael sat her down on a wooden chair under Lichgate’s old oak tree and washed her feet. He chose to do this as a symbol of his devotion and willingness to serve her. It was beautiful and she cried. Then as he knelt and she sat in the chair he pulled out the ring and asked her to marry him. She looked so happy. They both did. I then jumped out from where I was hiding and Jordan was even more excited to know this moment was photographed. It was truly an amazing experience for me and I loved the rush of it all. Jordan’s friends and dog then came out to surprise the couple and they celebrated with a drink. We walked around and took a few photos around Lichgate then to let Michael and Jordan soak up the moment. I am so thankful to have played a small part in this beautiful moment.
